Keion Henderson’s Parents

On July 6, 1981, Keion Henderson was born to his parents in Gary, Indiana. However, as his father was never involved in his life, he grew up with a single mother, Gwen Scott. His mother worked at Taco Bell and only earned $7 per hour.

Hence, Keion remembers his childhood to be full of challenges and financial struggles. He once revealed that his family survived on limited resources and government allowances.

As a curious child, Henderson always wondered about his father’s identity, and it wasn’t until he was 12 that he found that his dad was the Pastor of their regular church. Moreover, Keion confronted his identity with his father, who unfortunately refused to consider him as his son.

The incident caused emotional stress and a feeling of unworthiness in the young man. He remained disassociated from life until he met Bishop T.D. Jakes who ended up becoming the father in his life. After that, he slowly began to incline toward Jesus and his teaching and ultimately became one of the leading Pastors in the United States.

Nonetheless, as Keion has developed into a well-known figure, he frequently thanks his mother on social media for all her hard work. Moreover, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and a Master’s degree in Theology from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary.

He also studied preaching at Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church.

Yes, Keion is one of the three children of his parents. According to a news portal, He has 2 younger sibling sisters, Keionna MsKee Singleton, and Danyelle Brumley.
